Dental crowns can save a tooth, enhance your smile, and even help anchor restorations. Dental crowns in Albuquerque, NM are designed to match your smile, restore your bite, and get you on the road to better oral health.

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped jacket that goes over an existing tooth. It is colored to match your smile, and no one will guess that you have a dental crown.

Let’s look at a few times you might benefit from a dental crown in Northeast Heights, NM.

A Weak or Vulnerable Tooth

If you have a weak tooth that is vulnerable to breakage because of failed root canal therapy, complex trauma, or extensive decay, a dental crown is often recommended to stabilize this tooth and keep it strong.

A dental crown means that you can return to eating your favorite foods again without concern.

A Flawed or Misshapen Tooth

If you have an unsightly tooth or a tooth that doesn’t fit the overall shape of surrounding teeth, a dental crown can help.

Dental crowns may correct the following:

  • Visual bite alignment issues
  • Small gaps between teeth
  • Misshapen teeth
  • Discolored teeth
  • Minor flaws

As Support for a Dental Bridge

A dental bridge is a restoration that holds an artificial tooth or teeth between two dental crowns. These dental crowns cap teeth on either side of your smile gap to anchor your restoration. This means a seamless smile for you.

Dear valued patients,

As many of you know, in response to the recommendations from the American Dental Association and public health orders in place in New Mexico, we have been seeing patients on an urgent/emergency basis only since March 17. As a practice, our first priority is to put the health and safety of our team and community first.

Because the exact trajectory of this pandemic cannot be anticipated, we are unable to accurately predict when we’ll be able to resume seeing patients for regular dental care.  At this time, public health orders prohibiting elective dental care extend until May 15.  However, we will definitely make an announcement on our website and Facebook when normal hours are resumed. We will also be contacting patients whose appointments were canceled so that we can reschedule.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about an upcoming appointment, or have a concern about your teeth that you’d like to discuss, please do not hesitate to call our office.  We are happy to assist you in any way we can.

While we all watch and wait to see what the coming weeks hold for our nation, I pray for health and peace for all of you and those you love.  I know that together, we will get through this. Take care and God bless. Visit our Facebook page for a message from Dr. Essenmacher.

Best Regards,

Dr. Essenmacher
