Tooth loss can have a detrimental impact on your bite and on your well-being. At Essenmacher Family Dental, we want to help you restore your smile, boost your self-confidence, and allow you to get on with the business of enjoying your favorite foods again. We offer several types of dentures in our Northeast Heights, NM dental office, so you can choose what is best for your smile and for your lifestyle.

Our Denture Process

Our denture process always starts with an exam and chat with our top dentist. Dr. Essenmacher will determine whether dentures are the right option to help you achieve a beautiful and functional smile through speaking with you and performing an exam.

If dentures are a good option, the next step is impressions. These impressions help us design the right denture for the contours of your mouth.

Denture Types in Our Northeast Heights Dental Office

If you have full tooth loss, you may be a good candidate for full, removable dentures. Full dentures are plates or arches of artificial teeth that take the place of natural teeth.

If you have partial tooth loss, you may be a good candidate for partial, removable dentures. Partial dentures are either flexible or rigid—based on your selection. They fit around your existing teeth to restore your smile.

We also offer implant-supported dentures in Albuquerque, NM. Implant-supported dentures rely on four to six titanium posts implanted in your jawbone. These posts bond with the bone and behave like permanent tooth roots. When healing is complete, our top Northeast Heights dentist can attach your dentures.

With implant-supported dentures, there is no slippage and your implant posts will help prevent bone loss.

Dear valued patients,

As many of you know, in response to the recommendations from the American Dental Association and public health orders in place in New Mexico, we have been seeing patients on an urgent/emergency basis only since March 17. As a practice, our first priority is to put the health and safety of our team and community first.

Because the exact trajectory of this pandemic cannot be anticipated, we are unable to accurately predict when we’ll be able to resume seeing patients for regular dental care.  At this time, public health orders prohibiting elective dental care extend until May 15.  However, we will definitely make an announcement on our website and Facebook when normal hours are resumed. We will also be contacting patients whose appointments were canceled so that we can reschedule.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about an upcoming appointment, or have a concern about your teeth that you’d like to discuss, please do not hesitate to call our office.  We are happy to assist you in any way we can.

While we all watch and wait to see what the coming weeks hold for our nation, I pray for health and peace for all of you and those you love.  I know that together, we will get through this. Take care and God bless. Visit our Facebook page for a message from Dr. Essenmacher.

Best Regards,

Dr. Essenmacher
