Missing teeth make it impossible to eat the foods you love, not to mention the impact on your smile. Many patients would like to replace their missing teeth with single dental implants, but full-mouth implants can feel cost-prohibitive and overwhelming.

We offer All-on-4s in our Albuquerque dental office to replace teeth on either the upper arch, lower arch, or both arches to complete our patients smiles.

How All-on-4s Works

If you have ever worn complete dentures, you know what a pain they can be, especially when dining out. All it takes is one small flip of the denture, and pretty soon, food gets caught between your denture and palate. Now what? You’re stuck at the dinner table in a social setting with an embarrassing denture mishap.

All-on-4 eliminates these moments and improves your quality of life by holding your denture in place.

Four Dental Implants

Placing four dental implants into the upper or lower jaw, and allowing time for them to integrate, forms an anchor to hold your denture in place. The dental implants used in All-on-4 procedures may also eliminate the need for bone grafting. Your Albuquerque dentist can choose an area of adequate bone to place the implants.

Dental implants also help to preserve the bone that supports your gums and facial tissue and will help you look more youthful.

Unlike dentures that cover the upper palate and interfere with tasting your food, All-on-4 dentures have a slimmer profile, fitting over the bony gum ridge and leaving most of your mouth free to enjoy and savor your favorite cuisine.

Implant-retained dentures also make it possible to chew a wider variety of textures, making food choices more varied. Let’s face it; sharing a meal with family and friends is one of the greatest joys in life!

Dear valued patients,

As many of you know, in response to the recommendations from the American Dental Association and public health orders in place in New Mexico, we have been seeing patients on an urgent/emergency basis only since March 17. As a practice, our first priority is to put the health and safety of our team and community first.

Because the exact trajectory of this pandemic cannot be anticipated, we are unable to accurately predict when we’ll be able to resume seeing patients for regular dental care.  At this time, public health orders prohibiting elective dental care extend until May 15.  However, we will definitely make an announcement on our website and Facebook when normal hours are resumed. We will also be contacting patients whose appointments were canceled so that we can reschedule.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about an upcoming appointment, or have a concern about your teeth that you’d like to discuss, please do not hesitate to call our office.  We are happy to assist you in any way we can.

While we all watch and wait to see what the coming weeks hold for our nation, I pray for health and peace for all of you and those you love.  I know that together, we will get through this. Take care and God bless. Visit our Facebook page for a message from Dr. Essenmacher.

Best Regards,

Dr. Essenmacher
