Essenmacher Family Dental

How do I know it's time for new dentures?

Dentures | Albuquerque, NM | Essenmacher Family DentalAt Essenmacher Family Dental, we offer natural-looking dentures made from quality materials. We also adjust your dentures before you leave our office to make sure they fit comfortably.

Our Albuquerque and Northeast Heights patients love our dentures and partial dentures, and with proper care, dentures can last for a long time. However, there are signs that it’s time to replace your old dentures with a new set.

Denture Slippage

Your denture should stay in place, and you should not have to apply adhesive several times per day. If you find this happening, it’s a sign of natural bone loss and a strong indication that it’s time to replace your denture.

Denture Cracks

A small crack in your denture plate can escalate quickly and become a full break during the worst possible time.

Nicks and cracks are signs of wear and tear, which means you should think about denture replacement.

A More Permanent Denture

Many patients in the Albuquerque, NM and Northeast Heights areas change their dentures simply because they want a better quality plate or an affixed solution.

At Essenmacher Family Dental, we offer attached dentures and partial dentures, including All-On-4. This means your new denture is permanently affixed to your jaw with four small but sturdy implant posts per plate.

With All-On-4, you don’t have to worry about denture adhesives or dental realignments.

Dear valued patients,

As many of you know, in response to the recommendations from the American Dental Association and public health orders in place in New Mexico, we have been seeing patients on an urgent/emergency basis only since March 17. As a practice, our first priority is to put the health and safety of our team and community first.

Because the exact trajectory of this pandemic cannot be anticipated, we are unable to accurately predict when we’ll be able to resume seeing patients for regular dental care.  At this time, public health orders prohibiting elective dental care extend until May 15.  However, we will definitely make an announcement on our website and Facebook when normal hours are resumed. We will also be contacting patients whose appointments were canceled so that we can reschedule.

In the meantime, if you have any questions about an upcoming appointment, or have a concern about your teeth that you’d like to discuss, please do not hesitate to call our office.  We are happy to assist you in any way we can.

While we all watch and wait to see what the coming weeks hold for our nation, I pray for health and peace for all of you and those you love.  I know that together, we will get through this. Take care and God bless. Visit our Facebook page for a message from Dr. Essenmacher.

Best Regards,

Dr. Essenmacher
